Another beach bar recently opened on the Grand Anse beach.
Its located towards the southern end of the beach, right next to the Coyaba Hotel.

Great place for cocktails, snacks, burgers and drinks, and well situated so that its just a few steps from the sand for a snack or drink.

The Umbrella Beach Bar opened for business a short while ago and we of course just had to pay a visit to see for ourselves what it was like.

The place itself is quite nicely laid out, with photos of the old Westerhall Rum Distillery on the walls.

There is seating on benches outside (with umbrellas to shade you from the sun), more tables on the ground floor and comfortable couches in the corners, where you can relax with friends.

The balcony area upstairs is the more popular spot (i guess because it is in the open air, has a better view and you can smoke there).

The location is slightly set back from the beach… about 75 feet from the edge of the sand, and there is lots of parking available. In fact, we were there on two occasions and both times there was quite a crowd.
We tried out their large hot dogs, burgers and drinks… of course ;-)
As they just opened, there are obviously some teething problems… slow orders and staff who need some more training. However, the food was ok, and well suited for the type of place.

They are closed on Mondays, but from Tuesday to Thursday, are open from 12:00 - 9:00. Friday and Saturday, they are open a little later till 10pm, but Sunday, only till 8pm.
